It is first seen in "Never Meet Your Heroes" (S1E01) when Kate and her friends Franny (Regina Bryant) and Greer (Nichele Lambert) decide to ring the bell on ''Stane'' Tower with an arrow. In "Hide and Seek" (S1E02) she takes the bow during the escape from the burning apartment and carries it with her for a while until she and Clint get to her aunt Moira Brandon's apartment. In the building, Barton takes a bow for a while until he puts it on the table. When the girl finds out that Hawkeye is in trouble, she again takes her bow and a new suit and goes to save him... but she herself is captured and the bow is taken from her. While escaping the TS Mafia in "Echoes" (S1E03), Clint notices Kate's confiscated bow in one of the rooms in the episode. For some reason, Maya and Tomas take her bow into the car with them until Bishop pulls it out of fancy 1972 Dodge Challenger's back seat and fires a smoke arrow and data arrow. After an exhausting chase, the two take the subway home with the bows.
