In later seasons, Steve McGarrett (Jack Lord) carries a Colt Detective Special as his sidearm.

McGarrett holds his DS on Keith Caldwell (Ned Beatty) in "Oldest Profession - Latest Price" (S9E03).

Smith & Wesson Model 36

The main sidearm of the Five-O detectives is Smith & Wesson Model 36. Those who carry the handgun include Danny "Danno" Williams (James MacArthur), Chin Ho Kelly (Kam Fong) and Duke Lukela (Herman Wedemeyer).

Smith and Wesson Model 36 - .38 special - 5 shot. First pattern with flat latch cylinder release.

Keith Caldwell (Ned Beatty) uses the S&W 36 to take a hostage in "Oldest Profession - Latest Price" (S9E03).

The Smith & Wesson Model 19 is usually seen carried by HPD officers in the series.
