Hard Times (also known as The Streetfighter) is an action film set in Depression era New Orleans, starring Charles Bronson as Chaney, a drifter who arrives in the city and discovers an underground world of street fighters. He meets Speed (James Coburn), and enters the world, and is an instant hit. But many factors differ him the top. It was the first film directed by Walter Hill and was also written by him.

Smith & Wesson .44 Double Action

The rival fight manager Pettibon (Edward Walsh) pulls a Smith & Wesson .44 Double Action when he refuses to give Speed (James Coburn) his winnings. When Speed sends Chaney (Charles Bronson) to Pettibon's bar to retrieve the money, he takes the revolver and fires at least 8 shots from it, although a .44 double action can only hold 6 shots. The revolver is not a Smith and Wesson Schofield as previously thought as the revolver appears to be smaller and the hammer matches that of a .44 double action. The Schofield latch is also missing from this revolver showing that it is not even a Schofield.
