Full Metal Panic! is an action/comedy anime franchise based on a series of light novels by Shoji Gatoh. The first adaptation was in the form of a 26 episode television series that covers the first three novels (Fighting Boy Meets Girl, Running One Night Stand, and Into the Blue). This was followed up by a 12 episode sequel series titled Full Metal Panic?: Fumoffu, which used genre parodies and unused material from the first season to create a gag series. A third television series, Full Metal Panic!: The Second Raid, picks up where the first series ends and adapts the fourth and fifth novels (Ending Day by Day parts I and II) into 12 episodes. All three series have been released in English by Funimation and Madman Entertainment.
The following firearms can be seen in the anime series Full Metal Panic! as well as its sequel series Full Metal Panic?: Fumoffu and Full Metal Panic!: The Second Raid.
Handguns
Glock 26
Sousuke Sagara uses a Glock 26 as his primary sidearm.
Glock 26 subcompact Pistol - 9mm
File:SagGlock.jpg Sousuke disarms himself, dumbping his Glock, a spare magazine,...and then a whole mess of explosives, much to everyone's comic shock.
File:SagGlock2.jpg Sousuke poses with his Glock 26 in an eyecatch for the season two episode "Summer Illusion of Steel."
File:SagGlock6.jpg The G26 is too small for Sosuke's hands, so he must teacup it, as he does here during "Summer Illusion of Steel" (S2E3) as he confronts Washio, the chauffeur of the boy who's currently holding Chidori. Note the HK69 slung over his shoulder, and the clearly evident Glock trademark.
Steyr SPP
In addition to his Glock 26, Sousuke makes frequent use of a Steyr SSP that has been modified to be fully automatic. He takes it to school several times, but has it confiscated as the staff apparently mistakes it for an airsoft gun.
File:SgaSPP.jpg A thug tells his boss about Sousuke's Steyr TMP in a rather amusing scene of "The Man from the South/A Hostage with No Compromises" (S2E1).
Ruger KP89
A traitorous AS pilot on board the Tuatha De Danaan uses a suppressed Ruger KP89
File:Fmp1.jpg John Danigan executes Lian with his Ruger at the start of Gauron's coup.
File:Fmp2.jpg He then finds himself on the wrong end of it after immediately mouthing off to the psychopath he's just murdered a colleague to rescue.
File:Fmp3.jpg Danigan pursues Kaneme during "Jack in the Box," vowing to "kill the bitch."
Walther TPH
Teletha Testarossa's sidearm is a Walther TPH.
File:FMPPPK.jpg Tessa draws her Walther to provide cover fire for Kaname during "Jack in the Box" (S1E22).
Springfield Armory GI M1911A1
A Yakuza thug is seen using a Springfield Armory GI M1911A1.
File:FMP1911.jpg Bonta-kun hands a Yakuza gangster the 1911 In "A Fancy without Honor or Humanity" (S2E10). Note the Springfield Armory trademarks.
Smith and Wesson Model 49
A Smith & Wesson Model 49 can be seen in Sousuke's arsenal.
Smith & Wesson Model 49 - .38 Special
Beretta 92F
Seina, the leader of the A21 terrorist group, uses a Beretta 92F.
File:FMPM9.jpg Seina prepares to execute her prisoner with the Beretta, Kalinin, only to have the injured mercenary grab it.
Heckler & Koch P8
Melissa Mao uses a Heckler & Koch P8 (Confirmed to be the P8 variant in the Furume Artbook).
Heckler & Koch P8 - 9x19mm
File:MaoUSP.jpg Having decided to take a page out of Gates' playbook, Melissa shoves her P-8 in a Mithril traitor's mouth during "Beautiful Sicily" (S3E5). This was clearly not what he had in mind when he invited her into his room.
File:MaoUSP2.jpg Melissa uses the P-8 to cover Kruz as he carries the now unconscious traitor on his back during the same episode.
File:MaoUSP3.jpg Melissa aims her P-8 down a hedge maze at the Sicilian villa they're currently escaping. Note the cocked hammer. ("Beautiful Sicily" (S3E5))
SIG-Sauer P226
Several SIG P226 by multiple characters throughout the series, most notably by Gaurin, who has outfitted his with a laser pointer and sound suppressor, and by Xia Yu Lan, who experiences a stovepipe jam. She clears the jam quickly and easily, resulting in one of the series' most memorable moments for weapon enthusiasts.
File:Ghandgun.jpg Gauron uses the P226 to execute an uncooperative pilot during Season 1.
Steyr M9
Guen, one of the treacherous AS pilots aboard the Tuatha De Danaan uses a Steyr M9 pistol to execute Captain McAllen, and later on to suppress Sagara and Kurz as they try to protect Kaname from Danigan.
H&K Mk 23 Mod 0
A Heckler & Koch Mark 23 Mod. 0 can be seen in the hands of a U.S. Navy admiral. While the U.S. Navy does use this weapon in real-life, it is used primarily by special operations forces, such as U.S. Navy SEALs. A Beretta 92-derivative would have been more appropriate as an admiral's sidearm.
H&K Mk 23 Mod 0 - .45 ACP
File:FMPmk231.jpg The Admiral aims his Mk 23 at Kalinin after the USS Bunker Hill is apparently attacked by the Tuatha de Danaan.
CZ 75BD
The psychopathic Gates frequently uses a CZ 75BD.
File:Fmpcz751.jpg he aims his handgun at Yu Lan. She doesn't seem concerned. (Ending Day by Day" (S3E1)
File:Fmpcz752.jpg Gates attempts to teach Yu Lan the error of her ways by shoving his CZ in her mouth. To her credit, she's used to such abuse by now.
Norinco Model 54
A Japanese yakuza thug in Fumoffu uses Norinco Model 54s.
Norinco Model 54 - 7.62x25mm
Submachine guns
FN P90
The FN P90 makes frequent appearances in Full Metal Panic!, being used by everyone from Mithril troops to an overzealous police officer.
File:FMPP903.jpg Clinically (and consistantly) unhinged Metropolitan Police Detective Yoko Wakana dual wields FN P90s, firing them wildly into the air when she learns her old nemesis/comrade Bonta-Kun has just defeated a Yakuza gang, while her horrified colleagues try to restrain her. ("A Fancy without Honor or Humanity" S2E10)
File:FMPP904.jpg Sagara Sosouke chambers a round in an FN P90 he took from the small arms stash in the back of the Sicilian getaway car ("Beautiful Sicily" (S3E4)).
File:FMPP905.jpg Mithril mercenary, disguised as a UN Peacekeeper, holds a P90 while securing a hijacked airplane in Season 1. This should be a clue, as the UN does not actually field this weapon.
MAC-10
Near the end of the first television series, Gauron uses a MAC-10 chambered for 9mm Parabellum.
File:FMPMAC2.jpg Gauron holds a Mac 10 aboard the submarine during his coup. You can clearly make out the "Caliber: 9mm" on the side of the weapon.
PP-90
The Amalgam terrorists who try to kidnap Kaname Chidori use soviet-made PP-90 folding submachine guns, one of which is commandeered by Sousuke. This is ironic, as the Mithril soldiers who help break the siege are armed with the similarly named FN P90.
File:SAGSMG.jpg Souseke takes a walk in the woods, a PP-90 slung over his shoulder.
MP5K PDW
Multiple H&K MP5K-PDW submachine guns can be seen throughout the series.
File:Fmpmp5k.jpg Seina, A-21's leader, exits her Arm Slave armed with an MP5K PDW after killing the JGSDF soldiers guarding her little brother in "Dangerous Safe House" (S1E9).
File:Fmpmp5k2.jpg A Sicilian fires his MP5 at Mithril's getaway car during "Beautiful Sicily."
File:Fmpmp5k4.jpg An angry Bota-kun berates members of the Yakuza gang for rushing into battle recklessly, the MP5 in his hands ("A Fancy without Honor or Humanity" (S2E10).
File:Fmpmp5k6.jpg Members of what are apparently the Sicilian mafia open fire on Melissa and Kruz with MP5Ks during "Beautiful Sicily."
UZI
An IMI Uzi can be seen on a table of weapons inside of a terrorist hideout in an image showing Gauron is still alive.
File:Fmpm60uzi.jpg Gauron casually strolls by a table loaded with disproportionate weapons in an image Mithril obtained showing the terrorist was still alive. The Uzi can be seen at the upper right hand corner of the table, half in and half out of the shot.
Assault Rifles
AKM
Various soldiers and terrorists can be seen using AKM rifles.
File:FMPAK.jpg Irregulars armed with AKMs stand in the shade cast by a Soviet "Savage" Arm Slave. AS units are handled in a way less like heavy armor and more like weapons in terms of proliferation; thus AKs and Savages are extremely common amongst terrorist organizations in this universe.
File:FMPAK2.jpg AMALGAM agents prepare to ambush a Mithril fireteam during "Daylight" (S3E4).
AKMSU
An AKMSU can be seen on the table of weapons in a terrorist hideout.
AKMSU Krinkov - 7.62x39mm
M16A2
Melissa Mao and Belfangan Clouseau are seen using M16A1 rifles outfitted with A2 handguards. Both rifles fire on full auto, denoting them as A1 models. Impressively, Kurz is shown in a flashback using the M16 (and a single round) to cripple an enemy Savage during his first mission. Sousuke is also seen using a M16 with an M203 attachment while using the Bonta-kun power suit in Fumoffu.
M16A1 with A2 style handguards - 5.56x45mm
File:FMP162.jpg Melissa Mao holds an M16 as she calls a terrorist out during her first mission with Kurz and Sagara.
Colt Model 609
Sagara uses a Colt Model 609 rifle during his mission in Helmajistan. The weapon's compact size suggests it is issued to AS crews as a defensive weapon, similar to how PDWs are issued to tank crews.
Colt Model 609 aka U.S. Army's XM177E1- 5.56mm
File:Fmpm4a1.jpg Sagara holds the Colt Model 609 while he stands guard at his old camp in Helmajistan.
H&K G36E
During the mission in Sicily, Major Mao has a suitcase of weapons hidden in the back of her getaway car that contains a pair of Heckler & Koch G36E rifles. Even though G36 magazines have buds on either side that allows the user to snap magazines together, Weber duct tapes two magazines together jungle style.
Heckler & Koch G36E - 5.56mm
File:FMPG36E.jpg A pair of G36s in the weapons cache at the back of Sousuke's getaway car ("Beautiful Sicily" (S3E5)).
File:FMPG36E5.jpg Kurz fires the G36. Note that it doesn't seem to have a charging lever.
AKS-74U
A squad of inept terrorists use AKS-74U rifles.
AKS-74U (also referred to as the "AKSU" or 'Krinkov') - 5.45x39mm
Howa Type 89
The JGSDF soldiers use Howa Type 89.
File:FMPAR1.jpg JGSDF personnel stand guard outside a captured enemy Whispered's room during "Dangerous Safe House" (S1E9).
FN FNC
The troops in one of the countries that Mithril is tasked with operating in use FN FNC rifles.
File:Fmpfnc1.jpg Enemy soldiers prepare to massacre a refugee camp during "Ending Day By Day" (S3E1), only to be interrupted by the arrival of Mihtril.
File:Fmpfnc2.jpg The same soldiers, unable to catch a break, prepare to engage Gates and his men after the latter murders their commander in the same episode.
Heckler & Koch 33
Some of the Mithril PRT/SRT operatives disguised as UN peacekeepers use H&K 33 rifles.
Heckler & Koch HK33-A2 - 5.56x45mm
Machine Guns
M249 SAW
A M249-E2 SAW can be seen inside Sousuke's apartment.
M60
A M60 machine gun can be seen on the table in the terrorists hideout.
M60 machine gun - 7.62x51mm NATO
Sniper Rifles
Walther WA 2000
Kurz Weber's weapon of choice is a Walther WA 2000. He is shown to be a very proficient marksman and can disable an ArmSlave with one well-placed shot.
Walther WA 2000 - .300 Win Mag
VSS Vintorez
Weber uses a VSS Vintorez fitted with a night-vision scope during the mandatory hot-springs episode in Fumoffu.
SVD Dragunov
The Mithril agent code-named "Wraith" uses a SVD Dragunov sniper rifle. The rifle is retconned as the excuse for several of Sousuke's more amusing freakouts during the second season.
SVD Dragunov - 7.62x54mm R
File:Fmpsvd.jpg WRAITH holds her SVD in the series finale, complaining about being stuck on a cold roof while Sousuke and Kaneme are inside where it's warm.
Unidentified .22LR Rifle
Sousuke is seen using this rifle during a flashback.
(The Novel describes it as a .22 rifle, but the rifle pictured is a Crosman 800x. The artists mistook ".22 pellet" for ".22LR". Although the two have a similar name, they are very different.

Shotguns
Benelli M3 Super 90
Sousuke uses a Benelli M3 Super 90 during the beach episode in Fumoffu. Major Mao is also seen using a M3 Super 90 during her mission in Sicily.
Benelli M3 Super 90 - 12 gauge
File:SAGshotty.jpg Sousuke participates in the customary summer activity of melon-smashing. With a shotgun. While blindfolded. (S2E3)
File:SAGshotty2.jpg Sousuke lowers his Benelli and remarks "What a simple game" during "Summer Illusion of Steel" (S2E3). It's worth noting that either the shell (or the watermelon) was loaded with some form of explosive, as the melon explodes with force roughly equivalent to a landmine with Sousuke shoots it.
File:SAGshotty3.jpg Melisa fires her Benelli during "Beautiful Sicily." Judging by the extremely tight patterns she gets, the weapon must have some sort of integral choke. (S3E5).
Remington 870
Sousuke uses a Remington M870 loaded with rubber buckshot during an episode of Fumoffu.
Remington 870 Police Magnum Riot Shotgun - 12 Gauge
File:FMPm870.gif Sousuke aims his Remington at his secret admirer during "The Man from the South/A Hostage with No Compromises" (S2E1).
Serbu Super Shorty
Failing to understand the concept of competitive martial arts, Sousuke uses a Serbu Super Shorty loaded with rubber slugs during a dojo match in Fumoffu. He consistently wields the shotgun throughout the season, always loaded with less than lethal ammo, for various comic purposes.
Serbu Super Shorty - 12 gauge
File:SAGshotty4.jpg Mistaking Shinji's stalker picture ring for one involving illegal narcotics, Sousuke uses his Super Shorty to blast open the door to the PE supply shed in "Uncontrollable Bluebird" (S2E11).
Heavy Weapons
M203
During Fumoffu, Sousuke uses a M16 Rifle equipped with a M203 grenade launcher in conjunction with the series's iconic Bonta-Kun power armor.
M203 grenade launcher 40mm
File:FMP16.jpg "Fumoffu!" As an interesting side note, it's a minor plot point in "A Fancy without Honor or Humanity" that Sousuke had been trying to sell the Bonta-Kun AS in conjunction with Belgian arms company FN. Aside from the American Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Miami Police Department, he didn't get any takes, and he can't figure out why.
Heckler & Koch HK69
Sousuke uses a Heckler & Koch HK69A1 grenade launcher during the beach episode of Fumoffu. He usually loads it with less-than-lethal ammo, hitting his targets in the face with it during "Summer Illusion of Steel" (S2E3). At one point he accidentally loads a live grenade and destroys a pillar behind his target, and by luck the falling debris incapacitates his target.
File:SAGGL.jpg Shinji questions the logic of Sousuke rushing after Kaname, guns blazing in "Summer Illusion of Steel" (S2E3).
File:SAGGL2.jpg Sousuke fires the HK69 at Washio, who nimbly dodges aside during "Summer Illusion of Steel." Unfortunately, the round he's loaded is live...
File:SAGGL3.jpg Sousuke ejects the empty shell from his grenade launcher, while explaining to his incapacitated opponent knocking over the pillar with the grenade wasn't his plan at all, but that he'd accidentally loaded a live round instead of a practice shell.
RPG-7
Several RPG-7 launchers are seen throughout the series.
File:FMPRPG2.jpg A group of Nanking police officers orders Gates and his convoy to stop, "or otherwise..." "This will happen!" he interrupts, leveling his RPG-7 at them ("Labyrinth and the Dragon" (S3E3)).
Other Weapons
CornerShot
Several Mithril soldiers use CornerShot systems equipped with suppressed Glock 17 pistols with extended magazines while operating within the confines of a series of underground tunnels. Note that the squad using the CornerShots don't turn on the cameras' viewing screens. Instead they wear a goggle attachment connected to the weapon itself. We can assume they connect directly to the camera from that.
File:FMPcornershot.jpg Mithril operators enter the catacombs armed with Glock 17s. ("Labyrinth and the Dragon" (S3E3)).
Grenades
Sousuke is seen using a wide variety of grenades that includes smoke grenades, flash bangs, concussion grenades, and a few extras of his designs. Apparently the word moderation doesn't exist in his vocabulary.
Sarin Gas
Used by Sagara as a trap when someone was trying to tamper with bread that the students were trying to sell. Can you say "counterproductive"?
Taser M26
Tokyo Metropolitan Police Detective Yoko Wakana can be seen with a Advanced Taser M26, which she equips to track down the "sexual deviant" "Pony," but instead ends up using ineffectively against Sousuke.
File:TaserFMP.jpg Yoko Wakana takes cover behind a shrub with her taser, only to encounter Bonta-Kun instead, at which point she realizes she probably wasn't prepared for this. ("Stake Out Wholeheartedly" (S2E7).
