Dead Island is a survival horror first-person shooter, developed by Techland for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The main weapons in the game appear to be improvised melee weapons à la Condemned, but there are a few firearms scattered about.
The following guns appear in the video game:
Pistols
Beretta 92FS
The Beretta 92FS is an available semi-automatic handgun in the game
Desert Eagle
The player can find several Mark I Desert Eagle pistols scattered across the island resort. It is chambered in .357 Magnum, based on the safety lever and it's capacity of nine rounds.
Unknown revolver
It is chambered in 9x19mm.
Second unknown revolver
Called the "Magnum" in-game. Possibly a Taurus.
Shotguns
Unknown Shotgun
Has stock and pistol grip with wooden pump.
Benelli M3 Super 90
The Benelli M3 Super 90 Comes with a reflex sight and is used in pump-action mode only.
Franchi SPAS-12
Like the assault rifle, the weapon labelled "shotgun" in-game has three different models it randomly uses: the SPAS-12, Benelli M3 and a so-far two unidentified models. Used in pump-action mode only.
Mossburg 590 Cruiser
A possible Mossburg 590 Cruiser is known as the "Short Shotgun" in-game.
Assault Rifles
AKS-74U
The "Full-auto Rifles" in the game can be randomly one of three models: the AKS-74U, the AK-74 or the AK-107. The change is purely cosmetic.
AK-74
AK-105
Sometimes With a Kobra scope and ammo is rare until you reach the prison.
AR-15 Carbine
Known as the "Single-shot Rifle" in-game. Uses a 30 round magazine (but looks like 20 round box magazine) and sometimes a wire stock.
M16A1
The "burst rifle". Also uses a 20 round magazine.
