David Zayas is an American (of Puerto-Rican origin) actor well known for his roles as Detective Angel Batista in a TV Series Dexter and as General Garza in The Expendables. He served in the U.S. Air Force and as an officer in the NYPD before beginning his acting career (thus making him the only actor out of main and recurring cast of Dexter to really serve in the police before portraying a cop).
