Brimstone is a 2016 Dutch international co-production Western thriller movie directed by Martin Koolhoven and starring Dakota Fanning and Guy Pearce. The movie consists of four segments, united by the dramatic story of a woman on the old West.
The following weapons were used in the film Brimstone:
Revolvers
Single Action Army "Cavalry" Model
A Single Action Army "Cavalry" Model revolver is used by the brothel owner Frank (Paul Anderson). The screen gun is most likely a Cimarron replica.
Single Action Army "Artillery" Model
A Single Action Army "Artillery" Model revolver is used by the bandit Wolf (Jack Roth). Judging by the small size of the chambers, the screen gun is a .22 caliber replica or a blank firing gun.
Single Action Army "Civilian" Model
One of the revolvers that are seen in Samuel's (Kit Harington) holsters seems to be a Single Action Army "Civilian" Model. Very likely this is a Denix non-firing replica.
Colt 1860 Army
Another Samuel's revolver is a Colt 1860 Army. This is definitly a Denix non-firing replica.
Smith & Wesson Top Break Revolver
Liz (Dakota Fanning) takes a large revolver from her father-in-law's gun cabinet. This is a top-break gun the outlines of which are similar to a Smith & Wesson Model 3 or some other revolver of this family.
Pistols
Tingle Model 1960
Brothel customer Fred Eastman (Fergus O'Donnell) carries a Tingle Model 1960 pistol, a single shot muzzle loading percussion cap target gun.
Remington 1866 Derringer
A derringer is used by Sally (Vera Vitali). Remington 1866 Derringer is a possible guess.
Accles & Shelvoke Cash Captive Bolt Pistol
Anna (Carice van Houten) gives an Accles & Shelvoke Cash captive bolt pistol to Joanna (Emilia Jones) to slaughter a pig. Later this gun is used by Samuel (Kit Harington).
Rifles
Winchester Model 1873 Carbine
Sheriff Zeke (Frederick Schmidt) is armed with a Winchester Model 1873 carbine in several scenes.
Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy" Carbine
Liz (Dakota Fanning) takes a Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy" carbine from the gun cabinet when she confronts The Reverend.
Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy" Rifle
Nathan (Bill Tangradi) who became the sheriff holds a Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy" rifle when he arrests Liz.
Winchester Model 1892 (Denix replica)
A Denix non-firing replica of Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine is seen on the place where Samuel's gang shot each other.
vz. 98/22 Czech Mauser
Nathan (Bill Tangradi), at that time a farmer, holds an anachronistic Mauser Gewehr 1898 style rifle when he fires at Eli's house. The rifle has tangent-leaf rear sight, surrounded by wood, and the handguard lacks the typical G98 grasping grooves so vz. 98/22 Czech Mauser is a good guess. The movie was mostly filmed in Hungary, so the usage of an old Czech rifle is credible.
Unidentified rifle
The Reverend (Guy Pearce) uses an unidentified rifle with a sniper scope. The gun is supposed to be lever action, and the full length handguard can be seen on several "Musket" versions of Winchester rifles.
Shotguns
IZh-KB
An anachonistic IZh-KB shotgun, the direct predecessor of the better known IZh-18, is seen in hands of Matthew (Jack Hollington), his father Eli (William Houston) and Liz (Dakota Fanning).
