The following guns were used in the film Black Hawk Down

Browning M2

The opening firefight in Black Hawk Down is a one sided affair in which a local clan leader orders the firing on of a crowd gathered to receive UN food rations while US forces can only look on helplessly. Ironically the weapon used to fire on the crowd, a Browning M2 .50 BMG machine gun, is of US design and manufacture. Whether the use of the Browning M2 was an intentional choice by the filmmakers, is historically accurate, or was simply a coincidence is unknown.
