Revision as of 05:14, 25 January 2014
The following guns were used in the movie Babylon A.D. Unrated and Uncut
Beretta 92FS Inox
Toorop is seen using a Beretta 92FS Inox with a custom SGS compensator attached throughout the movie.
SIG SG 552
The SIG SG 552 is seen several times in the movie.
AKS-74U
An AKS-74U can be seen leaning on the wall with the other arms in Toorop's apartment.
M249 Paratrooper SAW
Leaning on the wall in Toorop's apartment with the other rifles and shotguns, is a Para SAW without an ammo box.
Remington 870
Also leaning on the wall in Toorop's apartment are two Remington 870's, one equipped with a pistol grip.
Unknown Pistol
This unknown pistol is seen sitting on Toorop's table. However, the size and shape of the magazine well and the extremely wide lanyard loop show that this firearm could be a modified Beretta 93R without grips.
Vektor CP1
Toorop is upset he was sold a defective firearm and returns it to the seller for his money back.
PK Machine Gun
A soldier holds a PK Machine Gun as Toorop passes by.
Type 56 Assault Rifle
The Type 56 is seen wielded by people in the market place and by the Neolites.
Fake Heckler & Koch MP5K
A man trying to sell Toorop an H&K MP5K, actually a modified H&K SP89
Franchi SPAS-12
A soldier is seen holding a Franchi SPAS-12 shotgun. Toorop carries a shorted SPAS-12 in his Oakley Icon backpack.
It's on the right side of his backpack.
M16A2
A M16A2 can be seen as Toorop gets his money back. One of the Neolites's men can be seen with a M16A2.
H&K UMP
One of Gorsky's soldiers is seen holding an H&K UMP with an ACOG sight.
Model 733
Karl uses a Colt Model 733, as identified by its A1 upper receiver and short barrel, equipped with a Surefire flashlight, a laser pointer and a Reflex sight.
M4A1 Carbine
The M4A1 Carbine is wielded multiple times in the movie by Toorop and his enemies.
Colt Model 725
Franchi SPAS 15
A Franchi SPAS 15 auto shotgun is seen under the M4.
Glock 19
Toorop carries a Glock 19 with a aftermarket finger extension, on a custom chest rig through out the movie.
Heckler & Koch MP7A1
Some of Gorsky's men are armed with Heckler and Koch MP7A1's with ACOG Scopes.
Beretta 92FS
There are several Beretta 92FSs used during the movie.
FN P90
Two FN P90s are in the trunk of Toorop's car, one is fitted with a suppressor.
Benelli M2 Tactical
A second gun seen in the trunk of Toorop's car, is a Benelli M2 Tactical.
That is a Benelli M4, not an M2.
Heckler & Koch SP89
Seen on the right side of Toorop's Oakley backpack is a Heckler & Koch SP89 or possibly a Heckler & Koch MP5K.
Mini Uzi
Seen on the left side of Toorop's Oakley backpack is a Mini Uzi.
Heckler & Koch G36C
In Vladivostok before entering the club Toorop must leave all his weapons at the security booth. A Heckler & Koch G36C is seen hanging on the wall.
Glock 17 OD Green
Toorop carries a OD green Glock 17 as a primary weapon.
Glock 17
Several Glock 17s are seen wielded during the movie.
SVD Dragunov
Outside the club in Vladivostok, a security guard is seen holding a SVD Dragunov in passing.
FN FNC
In the Berling Strait a crew member of the submarine preps his FN FNC to stand guard.
Heckler & Koch MP5A5
During the final firefight Gorsky's men can be seen armed with Heckler & Koch MP5A5s.
Beretta AR-70
A Neolite is seen with a Beretta AR-70 during the final firefight.
Kimel AP-9
During the final firefight a Neolite can be seen with a Kimel AP-9.
Brügger & Thomet GL-06
Possibly a modified Brügger & Thomet GL-06 is seen wielded by one of Gorsky's men during the final firefight. It fires a small missile that has a special tracking system.
Skorpion SA Vz 61
The Skorpion SA Vz 61 is seen wielded briefly by one of Gorsky's men during the final fire fight.
Custom M1911
The High Priestess uses a highly customized 1911 to kill Darquandier. It was revealed, the gun is a "WE Hi Capa 5.1 Full Metal Dragon (Type B) Black Model" Airsoft gun with blue LED lights in the grip. Movie fault!!- it should be noted that the hammer is down before she shoots Darquandier, incorrect for a 1911 which is traditionally single action only.
Although no pistol is named "hicapa", some competition shooting pistols made namely by SVI and Limcat are very similar to the "hicapa" used in the movie. The right appeletation varies from model to model. The general term used is 2011 (derived from the evolution of a 1911). It is basically a double stacked 1911, allowing more than 7 bullets to be stored in the magazine, hence the nickname "hicapa". - There is also an airsoft company that sells this 1911 style weapon with the product name "Hi Capa" on the grip. I have one.
The specific hybrid slide setup is not uncommon for a precision shooting pistol, although it is usually only the top of the slide that is cut.
