The folding stocks are different.

An Area 51 guard holds an MP40 with the front sight removed, and a optical sight mounted on the receiver.

The MP40 also has a laser pointer mounted on the receiver.

The second guard has the same optical sight and laser pointer.

Ray Guns

In flashback scenes from Mark of the Astro-Zombies, ray guns are used by ASTP-73 (John Baniqued), an alien from a distant asteroid, and Zekith (Anton Funtek), an alien from a different asteroid.

ASTP-73 fires a ray gun.

Zekith (center) fires a ray gun, while flanked by his reptilian allies.
