We see [[John Malkovich]]'s character constructing this two shot, reloadable clandestine handgun in the movie.  The weapon is used to great effect blowing a toy boat out of the water and killing the two duck hunters mid-way through the flick, though seen only briefly the weapon appears to take .38 Special rounds. The "Composite Pistol" is also seen used by Russel Crowe in the movie ''[[No Way Back]]''. The blank firing version was cut into three pieces due to some illegality issues after the movie In The Line of Fire.
