I am in no way a collector of weaponry in real-life, but in the past whenever I was playing video games that featured firearms, I found myself always using the same guns over and over again, so I thought to myself that I needed to change it up to add differentiation to the characters that I was controlling. Like, for example, when I played Far Cry 2 I would use a Star Model, an AK-47 and the crossbow that fired explosive bolts, but after I got the next two games in the franchise - Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4 - I found myself going back to the same old guns and so I found this website in order to know what other options were available in the games. Thanks to this website, I have found myself making each protagonist I play feel like their own individual characters rather than being carbon copies of each other that use the same guns, but all having different names and voices.

It has also helped with my screenwriting hobby as I never used to know what guns were which and simply wrote stuff involving them like "She fires the big machine gun at the enemies," or "The Sheriff grabbed his old-fashioned revolver," and things of that nature.
