The following weapons were used in the film Training Day:
Beretta 92FS
Hoyt (Ethan Hawke) carries the LAPD standard issue 9mm Beretta 92FS throughout the film. Much like Hoyt the Beretta 92 has a history of reliability, accuracy and ruggedness. For a "by the books" man like Hoyt the Beretta 92FS is a great choice.
Smith & Wesson 4506
Alonzo (Denzel Washington) carries twin Smith & Wesson 4506s in .45 ACP with custom rear sights throughout Training Day. .45 ACP handguns were approved for LAPD carry after the infamous North Hollywood shootout.
Glock 17
Mark, one of the men in Alonzo's unit, carries a Glock 17. In my opinion this was a poor choice by the films Armorer for Mark's character. We know very little about the men in Alonzo's unit, but we do know that Mark wears nice suits. For a man in a nice tailored suit a Glock 17 would be his last choice, it's simply too pedestrian - something along the lines of a custom, or factory custom Sig Sauer P229 in .40 S&W, would have been a better choice.
