If you file the tip off of a FMJ round it can potentially make it more effective on soft targets with the bullet expanding on impact. (Depends on the bullet as the jacket may be too thick to expand much anyway even with the lead exposed at the tip.) | ||

A few things in this movie made me go "hmmmm..." (see below). Would be cool if you guys had any suggestions, thanks in advance!
'1.) Does it make sense to fiddle with tips of bullets in this way? Seems to me like it would negatively influence ballistics performance...
'2.) Is this an excisting silencer or some home-made device?
'3.) This thing on the SWD/Cobray Street Sweeper had me puzzled big time from the moment I saw it. Any ideas as to what it might be?
