This device is seen only in darkness but what is seen bears resemblance with [[KS-23]] shotgun that is capable to launch grappling hooks with the usage of muzzle device OTs-06 "Koshka". But how could this Soviet weapon appear in 1985 Britain? AFAIK it wasn't exported until 1990s, and even in USSR KS-23 was widely used only from mid-1980s (despite being officially issued in 1970).
