Alien Nation: Dark Horizon is the first of five television films that continued the 1990 TV series Alien Nation. Dark Horizon was meant to be the first episode of the second season, but was not produced due to the series' cancellation. This episode was subsequently rewritten and produced as a television film that aired in 1994. The ratings were high enough to spawn four more TV movies.
The following weapons were used in the film Alien Nation: Dark Horizon:
Beretta 92FS
Detective Sikes (Gary Graham) carries a Beretta 92FS. In the series, Sikes carried a Model 92SB.
Smith & Wesson 669
Detective Francisco (Eric Pierpoint) carries a Smith & Wesson 669 as his sidearm.
M1911A1 (Nickel Plated)
Shortly before the showdown, Detective Francisco appears to carry a different pistol in his holster than the S&W 669. It appears here to be a Nickel Plated M1911A1.
Colt Python (Nickel)
One of the Purists pulls what appears to be a nickel Colt Python revolver with an attached scope while attempted to take off in a crop dusting helicopter.
Silenced Pistol
One of the Purists shoots a silenced pistol.
Pump Action Shotgun
The country Sheriff and his men are shooting pump action shotguns.
