Double Rifle not a shotgun
Eastwood is carrying a large bore double barrel rifle. Possibly a Holland & Holland Double Rifle. Note the shorter barrels. Probably 24 inch barrels instead of the standard 28 or 30 inch barrels found on on most side by side shotguns. Also note the front sight on Eastwood's rifle. Shotguns usually have a gold bead for the front sight.
