Man of Steel is the 2013 feature film adaptation of the DC Comics superhero. The film was directed by Zack Snyder (Watchmen), produced by Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight) and stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Kevin Costner as Pa Kent, and Michael Shannon as Zod.
The following weapons were used in the film Man of Steel:
Rifles
M4A1 Carbine
US troops and Special Forces soldiers are seen armed with M4A1 Carbine assault rifles.
M16 Variant
US troops can be seen with an unidentified M16 variant.
Machine Guns
M249
US troops can be seen with M249 machine guns.
Browning M2HB
The Browning M2HB heavy machine gun is mounted on Humvees and M1 Abrams tanks in the film.
FN M240D
The M240D machine gun is mounted on M1 Abrams tanks in the film.
Other Weapons
M203A1 Grenade Launcher
One of the soldiers is armed with an M4A1 fitted with an M203A1 Grenade Launcher.
M242 Bushmaster Chaingun
An M2 Bradley armed with an M242 Bushmaster chaingun is also seen in the film.
General Electric GAU-8/A Avenger
A-10 Thunderbolt II ground attack fighters appear with integral General Electric GAU-8/A Avenger cannons.
