The Silence of the Lambs

The following weapons can be seen in the movie The Silence of the Lambs:

The Silence of the Lambs (1991)

Smith and Wesson Model 13

FBI recruit Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) is shown training with and then carrying the Smith and Wesson model 13. This .357 magnum, 3" barrel revolver was the last issue revolver of the FBI (usually loaded with .38 spl +P .158 gr LHP ammo)

FBI recruits including Clarice (Jodie Foster) training in a deleted scene.

The holster used in the movie seems to be also the one that the FBI used with the S&W (note the Speedloader pouch)

but, unfortunately, someone forgot to teach Jodie Foster how to holster the gun:

"it's hard to get this thing into the holster"

The revolver used by Jodie Foster in the movie has a Pachmayr Grip adaptor (note that the bullets in the speedloader are SJHP, and not the .38 spl LSWCHP +P, used by the FBI in that era:

Clarice blindfires her Model 13 at the sound of a hammer cocking.

Browning Hi-Power

As he closes in on Lecter, one of the SWAT members draws a Browning Hi-Power before he opens the elevator access panel.

Colt Government

A deactivated Colt Government is used during FBI instruction

Note that the gun is deactivated (arrow)

Colt Python

The revolver used by "Buffalo Bill" (Ted Levine) near the climax of the film is a 6" barreled, nickel-plated Colt Python.

Buffalo Bill leaves his Colt Python on the stove as he answers the door.

With his night vision goggles on, Buffalo Bill attempts to shoot Clarice.

Heckler & Koch P7M13

A Heckler & Koch P7M13 is briefly seen in the hands of an FBI HRT member as Crawford and his men breach the suspected house of Buffalo Bill.

The FBI HRT member behind Crawford holds an H&K P7M13.

Fake Heckler & Koch MP5K

SWAT members are shown holding what appears to be an Airsoft version of the Heckler & Koch MP5K as they prepare to take down Lecter in the elevator.

FBI Special Agent Jack Crawford (Scott Glenn) prepares to assault the possible home of Buffalo Bill. His chief weapon is the Remington 870 shotgun.
