Telly Savalas (1922-1994) was an American actor best known for his cleanly shaved head look he kept throughout his acting career, most famously as NYPD Lieutenant Theo Kojak in the television series Kojak. His acting career included starring in numerous World War II films, including Battle of the Bulge (1965), The Dirty Dozen (1967), Kelly's Heroes (1970), Escape to Athena (1979) and The Dirty Dozen: The Deadly Mission (1987) in addition to his role as Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969).
