Manitou's Shoe (Der Schuh des Manitu) is a 2001 German Western Comedy from director Michael Herbig. The movie is a parody of the German Western movies that are based on Karl May novels, like Treasure of Silver Lake, Apache Gold, Last of the Renegades, The Desperado Trail, which are very popular in German speaking countries. It also parodies well known Western movies and the famous lore chase scene from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. It is generally considered as being the most successful German movie ever with 12 million viewers in Germany alone.
