Sharknado
Sharknado is a 2013 science fiction horror disaster film that premiered on Syfy. The film follows the events that occur when a rogue cyclone that appears to have picked up several sharks inside of it hits the city of Los Angeles. The film was produced by The Asylum, a movie production company previous known for making "mockbusters": low budget feature knockoffs of major motion pictures. The film received spectacular ratings for SyFy and would spawn five sequels: 2014's Sharknado 2: The Second One, 2015's Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!, 2016's Sharknado: The 4th Awakens, 2017's Sharknado 5: Global Swarming and 2018's The Last Sharknado: It's About Time.
