A 100% MPM2008 Image page
Thank you , thank you! You're too kind! The Uzi page is a 100% IMFDB licensed image page. I've managed to shoot all the pics from my gun inventory. If there is any image of a certain variant missing, drop me a line on this page. But I'm writing down the Uzi page as a 100% MPM2008 Image page! :D MoviePropMaster2008 21:03, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
Do you think you could scare up a pic of an Uzi with a fixed wooden stock, like those seen in Stripes? Orca1 9904 22:37, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, I got a wooden stock already, but it's covered in sooty ugly grease. Gotta clean it before I install it. Ugh. Not looking forward to that one.... :) MoviePropMaster2008 22:57, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
Sorry about the Mini-Ero add but I don't think that there's a single Mini-Ero in the US. Then again I have seen the strangest things in Class 3 Dealers vaults. Rockwolf66 19:48, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
Uzi Pistol
Would you mind makeing a note in the Micro-Uzi section that there is an Uzi pistol that is identical except for being semi-automatic only and missing the folding stock?Rockwolf66 19:27, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- Done. We still call the Uzi Pistols "Micro Uzis" because those are what you see in most action movies, except converted to full-auto. -MT2008 19:41, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for putting that out as we are an informaional site and we deal in movie related firearms knowlege.Rockwolf66 19:49, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
Title
Should the title of this page be changed to "Uzi Sub-machine gun Series", or something like that? --Jackbel 10:48, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
- Would make it needlessly awkward to link to the page, I'd think. Vangelis 10:55, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
- Well, not if it redirects from just "Uzi" --Jackbel 11:05, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Several questions
I feel kinda dumb asking this, but for the other Uzi variants that are chambered in .45 ACP, .22 LR, and .41 AE, does there exist any images of such variants? Or have any of these variants been used in films? --ThatoneguyJosh 00:04, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
- I doubt the .41 AE and the .22 isn't very likely either, but the .45 variant has probably been used in a few movies. I also bet it wouldn't be too hard to find a picture of one. That's One Angry Duck
UZI's first look
Hi everyone. I was thinking,is UZI looked the same as it looks now in 1950? Was there some kind of prototype? Wow,found one already. Interesting. It looks so.. modern. And that's just 5 years after the WWII was over! Impressive. ;) Littlesoldier1 05:56, 29 April 2012 (CDT)
Video Game section is a mess
The video game section for the full-size Uzi is an absolute wreck. Whoever converted it to table format didn't put a single year for any of the entries. I'll fix it, but whoever did it really needs to do the job right the first time and not half-ass things and leave messes like this for the rest of us to clean up later. Adjustable rear sight on Uzi?
Does anyone know if they ever put the adjustable rear sight designed for the Mini Uzi on later full-size Uzis? Otherwise I think that means that an Uzi that has an adjustable sight (such as in The Usual Suspects, Falling Down and RoboCop) is actually a Uzi Carbine Model B with a chopped barrel. For example I think the one listed on The Specialists is actually an Uzi Carbine, as you can see the "Action Arms" stamping on the rear of the receiver, who were the Uzi Carbine importers. If this is the case, is it worth putting them in the Uzi Carbine section like with chopped HK94s? --commando552 (talk) 18:03, 23 May 2013 (EDT)
Micro Uzi Date Incorrect?
This page states the Micro Uzi was introduced in 1986, but the movie Commando, released in 1985 and likely filmed earlier than 85, has a Micro Uzi in it. Is the date on this page incorrect? --JackalUnderscore (talk) 14:26, 9 January 2022 (EST)
According to modernfirearms.net the Mini and Micro variants were developed in 1982 and 1983 respectively. The appearance of the Micro in Commando appears to confirm this statement and renders the 1986 claim erroneous.Scratch that, the explanation is that the variant in Commando is Uzi pistol introduced in 1984. --Nanomat (talk) 22:23, 9 January 2022 (EST)
- Correct, the Uzi Pistol came first, Micro Uzi second (which is rare - usually, the full-auto weapon is developed first). I’ve added both dates to the page in the interest of minimizing confusion, even though IMFDB has for years referred to both the Micro Uzi and the Uzi Pistol as “Micro Uzi.” -MT2008 (talk) 09:15, 11 January 2022 (EST)
- Was the Uzi pistol ever sold with a stock? It seems Year of the Dragon had a "Micro Uzi" (Presumably Uzi Pistol since the movie is from 1985) with a stock. FriendlyHornet 11:04, 02 february 2024 (BRT)
- Due to the way US laws work, there'd be no real reason to sell it with a stock (since putting a stock on a handgun makes it a "Short Barreled Rifle", and incurs $200.00 in extra taxes and several months of waiting), though it wouldn't be especially hard for a movie gunsmith to put a stock on one. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 18:14, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
- So i guess the Micro Uzi stock did not exist until the full auto Micro Uzi came out in 1986. The one in the film is probably a custom gun then; maybe using the similar Mini Uzi stock. FriendlyHornet 16:10, 02 february 2024 (BRT)

Uzi questions
Greetings! I have two questions in need of answering.
First off, does anybody have "movie prop auction" images of a specific Micro Uzi? I managed to find these from Total Recall (1990):
And these from Batman Returns: https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/batman/images/5/57/34247704_1.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20240606201143 https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/batman/images/9/99/38745371_2.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20240606201159
So this convinces me otherwise that there are clean display pictures of this specific prop weapon out there. And I can also better understand how these movie props were manufactured.
The Uzi I'm referring to is an Uzi pistol converted to full auto, plated in mostly nickel parts, and outfitted with a specially designed compensator. The Micro Uzi itself isn't really my main interest; its the barrel device it has attached onto it's stubby pistol barrel: the so called compensator. And the reason I can come up with this safe guess that it's a compensator is because that muzzle flash in some shots provided the critical clues I need to identify this barrel device's purpose. This full auto Uzi pistol appeared in Batman Returns, Rapid Fire, Total Recall (1990), Predator 2, The Running Man, Class of 1999, Delta Force 2: The Colombian Connection, and Hell Comes to Frogtown. And another note: this Uzi is an Uzi pistol converted to fire full auto, so therefore, this is where the compensator comes in to play.
I would like to find out more about this compensator's origins. Even if this compensator may be a fictional device, I feel it could be useful as an add-on mod for Payday 2 or a new attachment for 9x19mm weapons in Payday 3.
Next, I'm sure you know about the Uzi Pro. It's a tactical version of the Micro Uzi submachine gun. Well, there's a prototype Uzi Pro too! Serial number: P-200001. Sadly, the below image is the only remnant of this weapon I managed to find. Well, actually, I have another image of it from X (Twitter), but I can't upload it here due to it's .jfif format; it's an image from the book The Uzi Submachine Gun Examined by David Gaboury. If anybody has any more archived images of this prototype Uzi Pro, please paste them here so I can send them to Starbreeze. They say it could be useful for Payday 3, but they will need more reference images to help them map out this weapon in the 3D modelling program.
The reason this could be useful for Payday 3 is because even though it was just a prototype like the Comanche stealth attack helicopter and it ultimately flopped, it could make up for it's appearance in a video game. And also, it only accepts what looks like Glock style magazines. So this could be what it looks like when you marry a Glock handgun with a Micro Uzi submachine gun - if weapons were living things.--PaydayClown4Ever (talk) 21:21, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
