Mercedes Gets Away from the Chase (direct translation of original title 'Mersedes' ukhodit ot pogoni) is a 1980 Soviet war movie directed by Yuri Lyashenko. The story is set in Autumn 1943. A Soviet reconnaissance group in disguise of Wehrmacht soldiers makes a raid behind the enemy lines, using the captured Mercedes car. Their mission is to find out where the enemy fresh troops are being transferred.

While disguised as German officers, Capt. Vladimir Loktev (German Yushko) and Lt. Aleksandr Yermolenko (Igor Livanov) carry Luger P08 pistols.
