The Age of Pioneers (2017)

The Age of Pioneers (Russian: Время первых, romanized: Vremya Pervykh, lit. "Time of the first ones"), also known as Spacewalk or The Spacewalker, is a Russian historical drama film about cosmonaut Alexei Leonov, the first human to perform a spacewalk.

Alexei Leonov (Yevgeny Mironov) seen using a flare gun after landing at an unplanned location. On closer inspection, this flare pistol turns out to be a rare combat/traumatic version of the SP81 with heavy barrel, adapted for firing KS-23 charges (although the use of conventional flares is also possible). While this is a clear anachronism (a superficially similar SPSh-44 would be a more accurate choice), it is a rare appearance on the screen of an interesting little-known weapon.
