I thought all M40s were built in-house by the Marines from Remington actions? The Wierd It 17:50, 4 February 2012 (CST)
- They make an M40A5, don't know if they make it for the USMC though. Marine rifles are a mixed of new rifles an upgraded A3s and A5s. A number of companies make M40A5 spec rifles, as it is just a Remington with a number of aftermarket parts and improvements. As a side note, the M40A5 picture used here is actually the one made by G.A. Precision. --commando552 18:23, 4 February 2012 (CST)
- Yes, the M40A5 pic is not the USORD variant, as that one does not have that flash hider or whatever it is on the barrel. I figured, it would be pointless to upload pics of the same rifle twice. (Also, obviously, the M16A4 and M16M4 also have different logos on the receivers but it would be redundant to upload those 2 guns again, right?) --bozitojugg3rn4ut 05:29, 6 February 2012 (CST)
