Talk:Sniper (1992)

A lot of firearms is misidentified. First, the main sniper rifle is a target version of Mosin M91/30. Typical Mosin magazine is seen on the last screenshot. Second, the rifle, identified as Springfield T20E2, is an SVT-40. Raimondo's pistol appears to be Browning Hi-Power, note the barrel and the ring hammer on the last screenshot. I'm also unsure about the grenade as French F1 hardly can appear in 1992 Russian movie. It's more alike Russian F-1 with a different fuze. Greg-Z (talk) 15:00, 7 January 2016 (EST)

I found the sniper rifle, thanks to Ganza: it's AVL (in Wikipedia). Greg-Z (talk) 15:11, 7 January 2016 (EST)
Many thanks for the help! How do you think - should I create the new firearm page for this rifle? Pyramid Silent (talk) 15:13, 7 January 2016 (EST)
AVL is based on Izhmash Los so I think that an entry on Los page would be better. Greg-Z (talk) 15:15, 7 January 2016 (EST)
This is not AVL. Starting with the fact that this is a pump action. --Slon95 (talk) 13:10, 27 October 2019 (EDT)
Pump... action... Mosin... OMG, I think Sergei Ivanovich is rotating in his coffin. How such gun would work, I wonder? --Greg-Z (talk) 14:20, 27 October 2019 (EDT)

And the pistol, identified as PM, - isn't it the same Hi-Power? It's longer than PM and seems to have a different angle of grip, and what appears to be an ajustable sight, also can be seen. Greg-Z (talk) 15:55, 7 January 2016 (EST)
