Model 29 vs. Model 28/27
I am pretty sure that the scientist (Ron Silver) is using a S&W Model 27/28 instead of a Model 29. The cylinder is shorter than the 44 magnum version and there is a noticable taper in the barrel unlike the Model 29 which is a heavier stovepipe barrel. --Jcordell 12:52, 27 July 2012 (CDT)

- S&W did not start making the Model 27 with the 4" barrel until 1979/1980. The 27 had a glossier blue job. The 28 was made from 54-86 and had more of a matte blue finish. That looks like a Model 28 to me based on the finish. --Jcordell 17:58, 27 July 2012 (CDT)
