Trivia: Jim Phelps (Jon Voight) is the only character in the entire movie who has fired a gun.

Berretta and Sig

If both the Cougar and Sig 225 are 9mm, why are there 75 rounds for one gun and only 20 something for the other.

Could Hunt's Cougar be a .45?

Maybe there were five 15 round magazines for the Beretta. and 95 rounds total.--AndCA 16:16, 14 December 2011 (CST)

I'm going to revamp this page soon.--Ben41 10:58, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Gun grip

Ew, cup-and-saucer? Not quite an excellent grip. The two handed high grip gives much better control. - Gunmaster45

What the?Why are they squished? - Kenny99

Barnes' machine pistol

Trying to identify Barnes' machine pistol. I looks like an MP9, but I'm not sure. --Ben41 11:52, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

My guess. --Predator20 14:31, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Smith & Wesson 5900

An IMF agent with his suppressed S&W covers the team raiding the apartment.

That looks more like a supressed Beretta 92FS to me.

Makarov PM

Hey, first time poster here - sorry I don't have an account to edit the page but I want to mention that the last "Makarov PM" looks distinctly like a CZ-82. Perhaps a continuation error on the part of the director? Or maybe I'm wrong. Feel free to delete my comment when this is resolved.

yeah that last picture looks exactly like a cz82, look at the hammer its a beaver tail rather than the rounded makarov hammer.

The trigger guard definitely makes it a Makarov --Jackbel 06:03, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

look up cz 82's plus look at the hammer they are spurred as in the last picture, the makarov has a spud hammer. plus notice the shiny bakelite grips with a groove for the left thumb and also the grooves on the slide lead up directly to the ejection port unlike the makarov which stops half way. Also hard to see but the ambidextrous slide release is slightly visible. It is not a cz83 but a 9x18 cz82.

Phelps' Custom Firearm

I'm not sure that this is the right area to put this, but i've removed a section "Funkychinaman" added (and the associated photo) because it is not the firearm used in the film. If you follow the link to the source where the image was taken from, it clearly states that the weapon featured is a prototype that the director was not happy with and subsequently was never used on-screen. (http://www.propstore.com/product/mission-impossible/jim-phelps-jon-voight-prototype-gun/) Continuing to link to that information and the image is therefore incorrect since it bears no resemblance to the weapon that was actaully seen in the movie, so i've removed it and added new images from the film.

I was just restoring what you had taken out. I had just assumed it was an image of the weapon used. Even if it's not, we can make note that it's just a prototype. --Funkychinaman (talk) 01:50, 17 June 2014 (EDT)
