The real Jesse James didn't favor a Remington Model 1875. That was his brother Frank. Jesse James used a Smith & Wesson Schofield. Next, Robert Ford used a nickel-plated Smith & Wesson New Model No. 3 revolver that Jesse James gave him as a gift to murder him.
