Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this whole trilogy take place in the 1860s?
- dont think its a trilogy, the good, the bad, and the ugly takes place in civil war, but is the last flim. the first two were based in you standard western time period of the late 19 century. also charters that were killed in one movies, show up again in others.
hold on a minute.... There's no way the Buntline Lee van Cleef is using with a stock is 12 inches. it's 10 at most. and the one in the satchel is 18", not 16". i might be wrong, but the Gun with the stock looks way to short to be 12". I took the liberty of correcting that.
- Being brought up during their original American cinema release, the films were marketed as the series of 'The Man with No Name'; but there were all kinds of inconsistancies from a real series (i.e. Bond, Flint, Helm etc). The original European releases just featured Eastwood in three separate Westerns, but as United Artits acquired all three they played them up that way.Foofbun 20:19, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
The Volcanic Rifle Butt Stock
The butt stock of the Volcanic rifle used by El Indio and Manco is not of the original Volcanic type. You can see on the picture with El Indio that the butt plate is straight rather than the half-moon shape of the Volcanic (and the Henry). Moreover the stock seems to have some "lightening cuts" or similar, seen on the picture with Manco. Do you have any idea of a type of butt stock with these cuts and a straight butt plate? - My guess would be some surgery was done on the stock and action so it could chamber blank cartridges, since it's impossible to make a blank Rocket Ball. Evil Tim (talk) 03:34, 14 January 2018 (EST)
- There are also some additional small pieces attached to the frame sides. Perhaps to hold a crack together. The rifle is not seen to be fired in the movie. Do you have any ideas on the butt stock? MarsVoyager (talk) 02:02, 15 January 2018 (EST)
