I find it highly unlikely Tuco used a model 1917 revolver, while there were definite gun mistakes I don't think they used any guns THAT modern in the film

Unfortunately, being modern has nothing to do with it. That has no bearing on a movie production art department making a huge mistake and movies make mistakes all the time. I am sure GM45 pointed out that usage of that gun in the scene where Tuco is checking out all the weapons was probably the biggest gun anachronism in movie history. But... if you can confirm the identity of the weapon to be something else, then by all means, let us know. :) MoviePropMaster2008 07:59, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
P.S. on the recent Sci Fi Channel "original film" "High Plains Invaders" an old west Cowboy has a Rossi 851 revolver. Now I think THAT's the biggest anachronism in movie history, since the 851 didn't come out until 1989 so it is a 100 year goof. MoviePropMaster2008 07:59, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

he also used a sawed off shotgun in "tough guys" as leon b. little
