In regard to Something To Tide You Over

I believe this gun might actually be a Charter Arms Undercover. In the first picture shown: 1) note how the grips envelop the frame almost behind the hammer, more consistant with Charter Arms wooden grips, 2) the cylinder lines up as though it has 5 shots instead of 6. 3) the front sights look a little high and the muzzel looks a bit larger compared to the barrel more consistant with a Charter Arms.

If you view the deleted scene from this youtube video starting at 3:05 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pl1iYBZACJQ you get a clearer side view of the gun. The size of the frame and front sight looks more like a Charter Arms Undercover to my eye. (NOTE: The video does have a little profanity in different segments. Just a warning)

However, the fact that the gun, in the movie, fires 6 times instead of just 5, suggests that it might still be considered a Detective Special

The amount of shots fired doesn't matter at all. Hollywood can make guns fire much more or much less than a gun can actually hold through the magic of editing. --SmithandWesson36 00:32, 13 July 2012 (CDT)

Right. I was just being a little facetious. ;) Hollywood probably thinks all revolvers are "six shooters" (even though the prop gun in their hand may show different) and thus threw in six shots in their editing.

Anyway, I believe the gun to be a Charter Arms, not a Detective Special. Even the size of the gun fitting into Leslie Neilson's hands tells me it's probably not a Detective Special. I own a 2nd Issue DS and I have pretty big hands...to my eye the gun in the movie is way too small (unless it was Andre the Giant holding the gun for Leslie) ;)
