Unidentified/Misidentified

This page is a complexity for me as I'm not able to identify many of screen used firearms. So any help would be greatly appreciated. The movie armorer was Maratier Armes & Costumes company (Hitman (2007), District B13, 36th Precinct), and maybe this will also help in identification. Greg-Z (talk) 14:29, 27 January 2014 (EST)

Contrary to what you claim on the page, Jean Reno only uses the Glock 17L in the movie, never a Glock 17. Though there may be gun-related continuity errors in this movie, the Glock 17/17L switch does not appear to be one of them. -MT2008 (talk) 16:32, 27 January 2014 (EST)
Yes, looks like I was wrong. Thank you! Greg-Z (talk) 22:04, 27 January 2014 (EST)
Those unidentified shotguns look to be a Benelli M3 with a side folding stock and surefire fore end in the first two pics and another Benelli with a pistol grip and a short barrel, it definitely has a relieved receiver for a charging handle. The unknown revolvers are almost certainly a snub nosed nickle Colt Python and the Smith and Wesson Model 586. Black Irish Paddy (talk) 18:55, 6 August 2019 (EDT)
Thanks a lot!--Greg-Z (talk) 07:03, 7 August 2019 (EDT)

IDs

Okay, here goes:

Unidentified Revolver 1

Maybe a snub-nosed S&W 586?

The revolver bears a logo and it doesn't look like an S&W logo. Greg-Z (talk) 22:33, 27 January 2014 (EST)

SIG-Sauer P226

These don't look like P226s.

-Yeah, they look more like SP2022s --Warejaws (talk) 15:28, 27 January 2014 (EST)

Thanks, fixed. Greg-Z (talk) 22:33, 27 January 2014 (EST)

SIG-Sauer P228

Looks more like a P225. The first image shows the lack of a double-stack bulge and the squared off trigger guard.

Disagree, it has the wrong grips, and the angle is just off. I think that's just the same P226 that is used elsewhere in the film. -MT2008 (talk) 16:13, 27 January 2014 (EST)
You're right, you can see the bulges in the second image. --Funkychinaman (talk) 16:18, 27 January 2014 (EST)
Thanks, fixed. Greg-Z (talk) 22:33, 27 January 2014 (EST)

M1911-style pistol 2

I think it's a Para Ordnance of some sort. You can see double-stack bulges in the grip in the closeup.

22 Bullets-Colt-17.jpg
Judging by the slide makings, it's a P14, but the slide serrations look back-slanted.--Mandolin (talk) 17:38, 27 January 2014 (EST)
Agree, it's a P14. The shape of slide serration seems to be back-slanted only due to the angle of sight. Greg-Z (talk) 22:33, 27 January 2014 (EST)

Para-Ordnance Nite-Tac

I thought Nite-Tacs had bobbed hammers. You can see the hammer in the second image.

The Nite-Tac marking is clearly seen on the slide (I rotated the image to read it). Or I'm wrong? Greg-Z (talk) 22:33, 27 January 2014 (EST)
Exactly the same version of Nite-Tac Greg-Z (talk) 00:07, 28 January 2014 (EST)
I thought Nite-Tacs were double-stack. The images on the Nite-Tac page has double-stack bulges, while the one in the screencap and your link do not. Is the information on the page correct then? I don't think you'd be able to fit 14 rounds of .45 or 16 rounds of .40 without double stack bulges. --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:59, 28 January 2014 (EST)
Well, some googling shows that there are single stack 8-round and double stack 14-round pistols in .45 caliber and both exist under the same name Nite-Tac without any additions. For example, here we see several single stack Nite-Tac pistols and next page (cannot put a direct link on it; need choose "Items 11-13" on the bottom of the first page) shows several double stack Nite-Tacs. Except bulges, they also have different triggers (but this may be a pure optional feature). Greg-Z (talk) 13:26, 28 January 2014 (EST)
Is the Nite-Tac actually a model then, or a series of pistols? Because I'm seeing single and double stack, bobbed and unbobbed hammers, and different sizes. --Funkychinaman (talk) 14:19, 28 January 2014 (EST)
Seems to be the latter. Manufacturer's webcite doesn't contain Nite-Tac but visually same pistols are now produced under Elite and Expert trademarks. BTW, the company itself changed name in 2009 from Para-Ordnance to Para USA (they moved to North Carolina). Greg-Z (talk) 22:36, 28 January 2014 (EST)

Rampoli's pistol

Maybe a SIG P210?

Vasetto's pistol

Taurus PT945?

Is the pistol on the first image really the same with the two-tone one on following screenshots? Greg-Z (talk) 22:33, 27 January 2014 (EST)

Rabou's pistol

Looks like a USP.

Thanks, fixed. Greg-Z (talk) 22:33, 27 January 2014 (EST)

UMP 9

I think these are just MP5s with UMP stocks.

Thanks, fixed. Greg-Z (talk) 22:33, 27 January 2014 (EST)

Unknowns

Looks like a Heckler & Koch G36C.

--Funkychinaman (talk) 14:56, 27 January 2014 (EST)

Maybe... Need some more thinking. Greg-Z (talk) 22:33, 27 January 2014 (EST)

That Para

Once again, that is not a P-14 but a P-18-9. You can clearly see P18-9 on the slide. The Hitman movie has the same gun.

47 with his P18s crossed over his chest in the classic Hitman pose.
A close view at the pistol.
Para Ordnance P-18-9 old version - 9x19mm

bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 04:55, 28 January 2014 (EST)

Thank you, and sorry for misunderstandings. Fixed. Greg-Z (talk) 04:57, 28 January 2014 (EST)

Paolini's pistol

My guess would be a Taurus PT92. What looks like a frame-mounted safety is visible. bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 07:13, 28 January 2014 (EST)

Unknowns

Is that an MP5 or MP5K? It's got the H&K-style sights. --Funkychinaman (talk) 13:10, 28 January 2014 (EST)

22 Bullets-Weapons-5.jpg
I had such idea but the space between the trigger guard and the magazine on MP5s seems too little to put a hand there while on the screenshot we see a hand next to trigger guard. Can it be MP7? Greg-Z (talk) 13:31, 28 January 2014 (EST)
I've never seen MP7 iron sights like that. --Funkychinaman (talk) 14:19, 28 January 2014 (EST)
Definitely a fullsize MP5 (A3 likely). The handguard is too long to be a K. bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 14:35, 28 January 2014 (EST)
OK, but how this man managed to place his hand between trigger guard and magazine? Or he simply carries his MP5 unloaded? I also cannot explain to myself the strange shape of the rear end (maybe this is a folded UMP-style buttstock?). Greg-Z (talk) 22:58, 28 January 2014 (EST)
I think he has his finger outside the trigger guard. That would make sense. - bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 09:23, 29 January 2014 (EST)
That would really make sense. OK, I agree. Thanks! Greg-Z (talk) 09:47, 29 January 2014 (EST)

A Japanese article about this film

Here is a Japanese page that also studies firearms in 22 Bullets. Can anyone help with translation? Maybe we can find something interesting here. Greg-Z (talk) 22:55, 28 January 2014 (EST)

I will translate the comment to the image.-KINKI'boy(talk) 14:22, 29 January 2014 (JST)
  • 1st - is this GLock 34 or 17L ?
  • 2nd - Apparently, it seems 17L. Para-Ordnance New model's Nite-Tac Rail Model is put to the Silver slide.
  • 3rd - The second half, the change from Glock to SIG.
  • 4th - Scene to wind the vinyl tape on the grip portion of the 1911 automatic pistol, to prepare for the attack.
  • 5th - SIG Pro SP 2022 are used by police inspector Marie Goldman.
  • 6th - Introducing the pistol gang(Pascal Vasetto) uses from here(Images). This is Taurus PT900 Series with Silver Frame.Determined that PT908 from the image.
  • 7th - Appeared in the birthday party of CZ 85 (with Engravings). CZUB Official site
  • 8th - Gang(Pascal Vasetto) used Long guns. Mini-Uzi and Galil MAR.
  • 9th - This seems to be the Galil SAR.
Thank you! Now I have to agree about Galils. Really only SAR is used during the attack on Mattei's hideout while MAR is used during the kidnapping. About Vasetto's pistol: we identified it as Taurus PT945 while the author of the blog thinks it to be a PT908. As for myself, I cannot say anything. And last but not least: Fontarosa's pistol. I had no doubt while identifying it as Hi-Power, but CZ 85 is a very good guess, and I think that I was wrong. Greg-Z (talk) 01:24, 29 January 2014 (EST)
One more close inspection makes me to think that Fontaroza's pisol is a CZ 75B rather than CZ 85. But I'm not sure. Greg-Z (talk) 03:16, 29 January 2014 (EST)
