Space Battleship Yamato (2010)

Space Battleship Yamato (SPACE BATTLESHIP ヤマト Uchu Senkan Yamato) is a live action film adaptation of the original 1974 anime TV series of the same name. The film was released in Japan on December 1, 2010. It was released on DVD and Blu-ray in Japan on June 24, 2011.

The following weapons were used in the film Space Battleship Yamato:

Pulse Gun

The sidearm carried by members of the Yamato crew is a 'Pulse Gun'. This pistol appears to be a either a modified Glock, or resin cast based on the Glock design. Below is the Glock 17 showing the basic trigger guard, grip, and overall block appearance.

Susumu Kodai (Takuya Kimura) levels his pulse gun at a possessed Saito (Hiroyuki Ikeuchi).
Saito holds off the Gamilas to buy Sanada (Toshirō Yanagiba) time.

Assault Rifle (Heckler & Koch G36C)

The Yamato paratroopers carry an assault rifle clearly based on the Heckler & Koch G36 line of rifles. Below is the version most like, though not identical with the one used in the movie.

The weapons are shown firing, not special effects, but there is no ejection port visible, or shells seen in the battle scene. It is suspected that these are non guns dressed up to look like G36 rifles.
The landing party fight off Gamilas from what what is essentially a futuristic gun truck.

Heavy Weapon (M249 SAW)

The paratroopers also are seen carrying a heavy weapon that appears to be based off the M249 SAW. The weapons bear a strong resemblance to the modified SAWs in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
