Slow West is a British 2015 western film directed by John Maclean and starring Kodi Smit-McPhee as young Scotsman Jay Cavendish in search for his lost love in the Wild West and Michael Fassbender as bounty hunter Silas Selleck who accompanies Cavendish. The film was awarded the Sundance Institute's World Cinema Jury Prize: Dramatic Winner at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.

The following weapons were used in the film Slow West:

Revolvers

Single Action Army "Civilian" Model

Jay Cavendish (Kodi Smit-McPhee) carries a Single Action Army "Civilian" Model revolver throughout the movie. The revolver is definitely a modern replica.

Single Action Army "Cavalry" Model

Silas Selleck (Michael Fassbender) carries a Single Action Army "Cavalry" Model revolver throughout the movie. SAA Cavalry revolvers are also seen in hands of Rose Ross (Caren Pistorius), bounty hunters Payne (Ben Mendelsohn), The Kid (Michael Whalley), Marimacho (Madeleine Sami) and Skelly (Eddie Campbell), Swedish robber Johan (Karl Willetts), and two former Union soldiers (Hayden Frost and Kieran Charnock). Unlike other Cavalry revolvers in the film, The Kid's gun has a nickel plated frame and barrel and blued cylinder. All the revolvers are most likely modern replicas.

Pistols

Remington 1866 Derringer

During the robbery committed by the Swedish couple, Johan's spouse Maria (Brooke Williams) is armed with a Remington 1866 Derringer.

Rifles

Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy"

Silas Selleck (Michael Fassbender) carries a Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy" carbine. While in the film itself the Winchester is seen briefly, promotional images perfectly show this gun.

Winchester Model 1892 Short Rifle

In the scenes in Ross' house, Rose Ross (Caren Pistorius) takes an anachronistic Winchester Model 1892 Short Rifle. This rifle is also seen in hands of a Native American named Kotori (Kalani Queypo) who protects the Ross house.

Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine

Kotori's (Kalani Queypo) own rifle is a Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine with half-magazine (a feature more common for M1892 short rifles than for carbines but this particular gun has the saddle ring).

Sharps 1874 Long Range

A Sharps 1874 Long Range rifle is used by the bounty hunter Victor the Hawk (Edwin Wright).

Enfield Pattern 1853

Jay Cavendish (Kodi Smit-McPhee) holds a military-style percussion cap musket or rifled musket in a number of production images of the set of Jay's flashbacks in Scotland. An Enfield Pattern 1853 seems to be the best guess. These scenes were probably cut from the final theatrical version of the film (and the director's cut is unavailable).

Shotguns

Single Barreled Coach Gun

The trader Josh McKenzie (Ken Blackburn) uses a Single Barreled Coach Gun when confronting Johan and Maria. A similar looking gun is seen in Werner's wagon.

Montgomery Ward Texas Ranger - 16 gauge. The screen gun looks very similar, minus the short barrel.
