Mr. Holmes is a 2015 American-British movie directed by Bill Condon. Sherlock Holmes is now a proud 93 years old and lives a secluded life in his country house in Sussex. The aging master detective can only shake his head at the heroic stories that are told about him in the movies since most of them are pure fiction. He never wore the legendary cap, and he always preferred cigarettes. During the day, Holmes devotes himself to beekeeping and teaches Roger, the son of his housekeeper Mrs. Munro, the secrets of beekeeping. The two are the only ones he tolerates near him. But sometimes the memories of old cases come up against his will, especially this one in which a beautiful woman was in danger.

The following weapons were used in the film Mr. Holmes:

Rifles

M1 Garand

During several Sherlock Holmes' (Ian McKellen) flashbacks, U.S. Army soldiers of the 1st Cavalry Division stationed in Hiroshima are seen carrying M1 Garands.

While having a conversation with Tamiki Umezaki (Hiroyuki Sanada) about his life as a novel model, Mr. Holmes spots a young Japanese woman near Hiroshima Station and is shocked by the "Little Boy" atomic bomb results. The two soldiers to the right controlling Japanese people have Garands to which the bayonet is seen in the scabbards.
