Major Payne (1995)

Major Payne is a 1995 comedy starring Damon Wayans as the title character, a gung ho US Marine officer who takes a job as the new instructor of a bunch of unruly JROTC cadets at a private school.

M1903 Springfield

During the drill training, the cadets are seen using M1903 Springfield rifles. This is correct as JROTC cadets are given Springfields that are unable to fire mainly for competitions and firearm drills.

When Major Payne is daydreaming at the train station he imagines himself dispatching an attacking Việt Cộng soldier armed with an AK-47 fitted with a bayonet. in this scene the AK-47 is rubber, the bayonet is metal. The fake rubber AK and real bayonet combo come together to look like an AK-47 with a bent barrel.
