The Flying Deuces is a 1939 comedy movie directed by A. Edward Sutherland. Stan and Ollie are on vacation in Paris. Ollie falls in love with Georgette, the hotelier's pretty daughter. When he proposes to her, he discovers she is married to the officer Francois. Out of disappointment and frustration, Ollie wants to drown himself in the Seine. He sees it as Stan's duty as a friend to drown himself with him. Then an officer appears, Georgette's fiancé Francois, unbeknownst to Ollie, and suggests that Ollie join the Foreign Legion so that he can forget his grief.

Ollie shoulders his rifle during the disorder of the appeal. The ejecting hole of one Berthier is seen on the left held by a legionnaire.
The duo encounters Francois and the other superior officers.
The hangar guard's rifle is equipped with a Rosalie bayonet. Shortly after, he spots the duo and correctly fires three shots into the air to alert the entire garrison.

Trivia

Lebel 1873/1892 Revolver Holster

Francois (Reginald Gardiner) and other French officers carry Lebel 1873/1892 revolver holsters. There is no way to tell if the Mle 1892 Revolvers are inside.

After entering Georgette's room, Francois gets his holster in position...
...and unclips it.
