Best Defense
Best Defense is a 1984 comedy starring Dudley Moore as an engineer involved in the design of a targeting system for an advanced US military tank and whose decisions affect the actual use of the vehicle in battle seen two years later. Eddie Murphy co-stars as the US tank commander who tries to overcome the system's failings while in combat. The film is somewhat notable for depicting an Iraqi invasion of Kuwait seven years prior to the actual Gulf War.

Rifles
M16A1
M16A1 rifles fitted with 30 round "curved" magazines are the rifles carried by Kuwaiti troops. Lt. T.M Landry (Eddie Murphy) uses an M16A1 after his Browning M2 malfunctions. Government agents also are armed with the rifle.
Machine Guns
Browning M2HB
Browning M2HBs are mounted on Kuwaiti tanks as well as on the XM10 "Annihilator" tank commanded by T.M. Landry. Landry tries to use the M2 mounted on his tank, but it doesn't seem to function.
Browning M1919A4
Browning M1919A4 machine guns are mounted on Kuwaiti army jeeps as well as Iraqi armored half-tracks.

M1911A1
The M1911A1 is seen in the hands of military officers including Chief Padilla (William Marquez). The pistol also is the sidearm carried by Lt. Landry.
Smith & Wesson Model 10
The Smith & Wesson Model 10 appears to be carried by government agents.
Smith & Wesson Model 19 Snub Nose
A Smith & Wesson Model 19 "Snubbie" is the revolver pulled by Jeff the 'KGB' Agent (David Rasche) during a confrontation with Wylie Cooper (Dudley Moore).
