Ángel Salazar (1956-2024) was a Cuban-American actor who started off (and still performed) as a stand-up comic. After appearing in Carlito's Way in 1993 he took a ten-year hiatus from filmmaking to concentrate on his stand-up comedian act. Happily for his fans, he has started to appear in films again, mostly in comedies. He passed away on August 11, 2024 at the age of 68.
