During the Cold War experiencing by mysterious failures of the NATO radar in Greece. The investigator Robert Ford ([[Christian Marquand]]) is murdered and his wife, Shanny ([[Jean Seberg]]), will take over the investigation despite the opposition of  intelligence service chief, Mr. Sharps ([[Michel Bouquet]]). Therefore is deployed secret agent Dex ([[Maurice Ronet]]), to deport her. But he falls in love to girl and decides to help her uncover the murderers husband.
