Where Were You, Odysseus? (Gde ty byl, Odissey?) is a Soviet 1978 three-part made for TV war movie directed by Timur Zoloyev and based on the novel by Aleksey Azarov. In 1944 "Odysseus" (Donatas Banionis), a Soviet intelligence agent, operates in Nazi occupied Paris under the name of Frenchman Auguste Petitjean. He is accidentally arrested by Gestapo and taken for a British agent. German high rank officials plan to use "Odysseus" as a contact to Allies intelligence services.

Throughout the series, Walther P38 pistols are used by Soviet intelligence agent "Odysseus" (Donatas Banionis), his contact and radio operator Luke (Viktor Malyarevich), and SS officers Sturmscharführer Vogel (Georgiy Drozd), Sturmbannführer Karl Ehrlich (Anatoliy Romashin) and Brigadeführer Erich Warburg (Aleksandr Lazarev, Sr.).
