IMPORTANT! Read before editing

I'm asking MPM if he'll semi-protect my talk page from anon edits, so this notice might not be relevant as you're reading it, but in the future, I'm only responding to registered editors. ~ Spartan198

It's been edited. If he wants to start a rational debate, he will have to do it as a registered member now. Though he wrote like a douchebag, he may have a legitimate point. You may appear to have a strong negative opinion of the firearm, which may rub admirers the wrong way. I, for one, only criticize the flaws of guns that I personally own and shoot (which means I can critique ALOT of guns) but we must be careful to critique, not slam, weapons. One must be careful not to HATE a weapon, nor over do it with the LOVE of a weapon. We must be balanced here. MoviePropMaster2008

Resident Evil Wiki

Boo.

I've officially given permission to this site to jack stuff from the RE Wiki (like information is exclusive. HAH!), so feel free to copypasta from one wiki to the other.

Also, can I get a little backup on the UC page (on this site, I mean). Some anon user keeps undoing my corrections, and my care level keeps dropping. --PistolJunkie 05:11, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

GRAW 2

Hi,

You seem to be quite knowledgeable about firearms and might own a copy of the console version of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2. I've been trying to add new screenshots and information from the PC version, and while it is coming along slowly, there are quite a few firearms-related questions I've come up with while working with this game, that I posted in that article's discussion page. No one so far has come forward to answer my questions about this (admittedly somewhat old and not very popular) game, so I'm trying a different tack by asking you.

Basically, the three most important questions right now are: 1) Which version of MP5SD does the screenshots I've posted depict? 2) What's the caliber of the MR-C (the PC version just gives a flat 5mm for width, not length which is uninformative) and is it plausible for there to be 50 rounds of it in that magazine? 3) Is it possible in real-life to slap a red dot sight on the XM8 Compact Carbine version? I remember Johnny Sasaki from Metal Gear Solid 4 having a red dot sight on his XM8 Compact (that was the ingame name for it), but I don't know if it's in fact the Compact Carbine version.

Any assistance you might have to lend would be most appreciated. Once I'm done with the GRAW 2 PC entries, I'm looking to add new pages of some other very nice shooter games.

Handheld Minigun

Well Spartan, GAU17 is right about that Minigun image being airsoft. Unfortunatly he also has somehow gotten it into his head that they two cylinders at 2 and 10 o'clock on the GE miniguns have something to do with recoil supression. They don't, according to my various Class 3 sources they are mounting lugs and have nothing to do with recoil supression. Thus once again I am going to have to go over what he wrote and edit out his misinformation.Rockwolf66 04:24, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

You suck and I hate you.

OK you don't like the MK23, now do you have to keep bringing up the fact that you despise it in every discussion I've ever seen about it while repeating some BS about every person ever who was issued one hated it? Are you a Special Forces soldier or did you just read someones dumb opinion on wikipedia or a comment from some "real ex sf guy" on youtube?

It's not BS, it's the truth. And no, I didn't get it from Wikipedia or YouTube. Sorry, HK, but your "Special Ops" gun isn't suitable for actual real world Special Operations (i.e., outside of video games and movies). 1911s are better. Let it be known that this is the last anon user I'll bother replying to on this talk page. If you don't want to be ignored, then register. Seriously, it's so simple that even an HK fanboy can do it. Spartan198 09:53, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

I have to agree with Spartan, unless you have hands the size of an ape, the MK23 isn't a practical gun at all.Kornflakes89 17:35, 12 April 2011 (CDT)

Is this the same Kornflakes89 as on MGSForums? Spartan198 00:19, 13 April 2011 (CDT)

What gave me away? Kornflakes89 01:11, 13 April 2011 (CDT)

The Special Forces sniper I have tracking you. Spartan198 15:12, 13 April 2011 (CDT)

That AK-74 argument

Hey, thanks for helping me out on the Black Ops talk page. I tried as hard as I could to drill out the misinformation in him, but he wasn't budging. --HashiriyaR32 04:36, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Street Fighter

I finished the Street Fighter page so you can take that off your page and don't have to find your DVD. --Ben41 01:45, 26 June 2011 (CDT)

Nice to meet you

Howsit. I'm new to this site and introducing myself to everyone I can find. Doing some minor edits for now but after I get some time I'll do a few pages that aren't on IMFDB yet. Any info you need about history I'll be glad to help. Thanks --Mikey 13:47, 27 June 2011 (CDT)

Grand Theft Auto

So I went ahead and create the {{Grand Theft Auto Series}} template for ya. What you should do is place the following "{{Grand Theft Auto Series}}" (without the quotation marks) at the bottom of each of the Grand Theft Auto pages. The biggest benefit here is that if a change needs to be made it only needs to be made in ONE place. So, for example, at the moment the release date for Grand Theft Auto V is "TBD". Once the date is finalized, all you have to do is change it in the template, and all the other pages automatically update. If you have any questions, drop me a line on my user talk. --Zackmann08 (talk) 23:24, 6 October 2012 (EDT)

The Walking Dead Game

Hi. It's been a while but I think the first shotgun Lee uses after the crash looks like an FN SLP Standard. - bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 08:59, 16 March 2013 (EDT)

I don't know, just because Lee "pumps" it it doesn't mean that he is using a pump shotgun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9SnHso3ezE Here is the video of Lee using it (after 10:00). There is a pumping sound but the fore-end is not moving. It would not be the first game to portray a semi-auto shotgun as pump-action. It is the same weapon the bandit is holding in the very next picture. - bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 15:03, 16 March 2013 (EDT)
In the future, please do not upload screenshots from other wikis unless you have their permission. --Ben41 (talk) 04:26, 19 March 2013 (EDT)

Images to delete

If you want something deleted, just tag it with {{Nuke}} or [[Category: Delete]] , and one of the admins (probably me), will get to it. --Funkychinaman (talk) 17:34, 29 May 2013 (EDT)

World War Z

Hey Spartan. How's the movie? The rifles from the scene I referred to you on the page were restored. Right? Dangerman1973 (talk) 21:14, 25 June 2013 (EDT)

Thanks for the reply. Hey, did you see the movie yet? Dangerman1973 (talk) 13:00, 7 July 2013 (EDT)

GRFS Arctic Strike

They're available in singleplayer, yes. For that mode it's basically "thanks for the money, have some new guns" so you can use them from the start. Kadorhal (talk) 00:50, 14 June 2014 (EDT)

Colonial Marine gear

I know this is a bit late, but I found your comment about how the Colonial Marine equipment is like a US serviceman using an M69 vest and an M1 helmet funny because that's actually what some of the Marines in Aliens use. Here's Drake with his M69 and here's a page that talks about how the helmet were based on M1s.--Quarax (talk) 20:41, 16 November 2014 (EST)
