Hi! ^_^

Please don't change hyphens to em or en dashes. It's just easier for everyone. --Funkychinaman (talk) 03:57, 5 June 2014 (EDT)

Please also don't change x's to multiplication signs. Thanks. --Funkychinaman (talk) 03:59, 5 June 2014 (EDT)
Why, when all of those are correct punctuation?—DocWatson (talk) 04:40, 5 June 2014 (EDT)
It just makes it easier for everyone. The vast majority of users wouldn't even know how to create an en dash or multiplication sign. Hyphens and x's are the standard. --Funkychinaman (talk) 05:01, 5 June 2014 (EDT)
Then let's educate them (creating dashes is not that difficult, and multiplication signs only a little more so), and improve IMFDb by elevating the standards to which we aspire.—DocWatson (talk) 06:45, 5 June 2014 (EDT)
It is simple when you have standard 101/104-key keyboard with numeric keypad but no so simple while working with compact keyboards or mobile devices. Greg-Z (talk) 07:49, 5 June 2014 (EDT)

Not to talk out of turn, but all of this was addressed not long ago with another user - User_talk:TitaniumAlloy#Your_Edits Note that that user didn't take heed and ended up banned. I post this up as help from a fellow user. Nobody really is concerned about this; You're addressing a problem when there isn't one, and frankly, there are better and more substantial ways the site can be improved.
