The different ejection port and the scalloped top rail are definitive characteristics of an MPX Gen 2. This version also has by default an ambidextrous charging handle, a KeyMod handguard, and the stock that I showed, but there are some MPX Gen 1s that also have them. For more details about Gen 1 vs. Gen 2, someone wrote an article [http://www.realgunreviews.com/sig-mpx-faq-video-analysis/ here]. SIG-Sauer previously uploaded a video regarding the matter, but sadly it was removed.

One additional note: I highly suspect that the images shown [[Talk:SIG-Sauer MPX#Promotional Images (likely photoshopped)|here]] are conceptual/promotional photoshops. SIG-Sauer is no stranger to having made kinda misleading photoshops that don't exactly match the real weapons (such as [http://www.imfdb.org/images/archive/8/8f/20190430103626%21MPX_Gen_1.jpg this], [http://www.imfdb.org/images/archive/d/d4/20190725165428%21SIG_MPX_Carbine.jpg this] and [http://www.imfdb.org/images/archive/d/d4/20190701104519%21SIG_MPX_Carbine.jpg this]).

How to identify SIG MPX variants

Prototype version (left) vs. Gen 1 (right).
MPX Gen 1 (left) vs. Gen 2 (right).

The Gen 1 and Gen 2 versions of the MPX SMG/SBR have 8" barrels by default, whereas the prototype counterpart had a 6.5" barrel. Nevertheless, the production version of the MPX is available with a 6.5" barrel.

Gen 2, someone wrote an article here. SIG-Sauer previously uploaded a video regarding the matter, but sadly it was removed.

One additional note: I highly suspect that the images shown here are conceptual/promotional photoshops. SIG-Sauer is no stranger to having made kinda misleading photoshops that don't exactly match the real weapons (such as this, this and this).

Machine Pistols

I'm listing here the machine pistols that I know (be they in current production or not), but only the ones that are mechanically pistols (thus, this excludes some weapons such as the MAC-10 and the Vz. 61 Skorpion). If something needs to be corrected/added, let me know.

Fully-Automatic

Two-Round Burst

Three-Round Burst

Magazine-Fed Shotguns

Now I'm listing the shotguns that I know to be fed with detachable magazine (again, be they in current production or not, or even just planned).

Bolt-Action

Lever-Action

Pump-Action

Selective Pump-Action/Semi-Automatic

Semi-Automatic

Fully-Automatic

Many of these are selective fire between full-auto and semi-auto (this apparently includes the Special Operations Weapon, though I'm not 100% sure). The two confirmed exceptions have their fire modes noted in parentheses below. I'm not sure if the FAS-173, Franchi mod. 410, SPAS-16, and Gordon CSWS had/were intended to have semi-auto options either.
