Howdy! I'm Jared Chastain. I'm 15 years old, but I'm also a proffesional with guns, especially old west guns. I'm familiar with a vast amount of guns and have quite a collection of my own (my mother owns them legally, but I use them). I am a young Cowboy Action Shooter and an actor (I've made quite a few movies, but I'm not famous). I've been interested in guns since I was a toddler and got my first .22 rifle, a Marlin Model 60, when I was 3, and my first handgun, a Single Action Army type .22 revolver when I was 5 years old (though I wasn't allowed to operate either one of them on my own until I was 13). I get along really well with adults. You will be shocked at my knowledge of firearms. I can be useful to this here site and I hope you will welcome me here, despite my young age. My favorite gun is the Colt Single Action Army Revolver (I own quite a few of those, some of them are actual Colts, and some are reproductions). I use a wide variety of those Colt Single Action Army Revolvers (chambered in .45 Long Colt, .44-40 Winchester (.44 Winchester Center Fire) .32-20 Winchester Center Fire, .38-40 Winchester Center Fire, .41 Colt (which is an obsolete bullet that is no longer manufactured, so I have to load them myself), and several other calibers). I carry a Limited Edition Wiley Clapp Colt Single Action Army Revolver chambered for .44 Special in a holster when I am out riding my horse, and I use .41 Colt revolvers (Colt Single Action Army Revolvers (including a Uberti reproduction Bisley model, several Uberti "Cattlemen" reproductions that I had rechambered for .41 Colt (some of them being fitted with bird's head grips) and a Uberti Stallion "Lightning" fitted with bird's head grips), a pair Colt Model 1877 "Thunderer" revolvers, and one Colt M1889 Revolver)sometimes for Cowboy Action Shooting. I also like .38 Long Colt revolvers (.38 Long Colt being another round that isn't commercially made anymore. Thank God you can shoot the .38 Short Colt round in it (which is still produced by Remington)). My favorite semi-automatic pistols are the Colt M1911 (and Model 1911A1, and any other 1911 type pistol) and the Browning Hi-Power. I like some of the modern guns and I know about them, but I prefer older guns. I don't care much for Glocks, even though there are a few in my house. They are okay for training amatuer shooters but I don't think they are good for carrying. They break too easy. The only Glock I use alot is my 1st Generation Glock 17 - 9x19mm Parabellum (9mm Luger). I like Winchester rifles (I use a Winchester Model 1894 - .30-30 Winchester for deer hunting). I also like Colt, J. Stevens, Smith & Wesson, W. Richards, Holland & Holland, Winchester, Remington, and Savage shotguns. My preference is 10 gauge or 12 gauge shotguns but 16 gauge, 20 gauge, and 410 bore are good too. The biggest shotgun I have is an old W. Richards 8 gauge shotgun. God bless you all and talk to me if you want.
