Tropico 4 (2011)

Tropico is a construction and city building game series where the player assumes the role of the leader of a tropical banana republic. Tropico 1 (2001), Tropico 3 (2009), and Tropico 4 (2011) have a modern setting which gives the player the control of small Caribbean island during the Cold War. Tropico 4 uses the same engine and models as Tropico 3.

The following weapons are featured in the Tropico series:

M1911

Generals carry M1911 pistols in Tropico 3 & 4.

World War II Colt M1911A1 Pistol - .45 ACP
The generals draw their pistols during battles with the rebels.

Browning High Power

Female criminals in Tropico 4 carry Browning High Power pistols.

Browning Hi-Power "Type 73" - 9x19mm. These Hi-Powers feature elongated bushings different from Hi-Powers Made before 1973 and after the MK II Series.
Female criminals openly carry their pistols.

Heckler & Koch MP5

Added in the "Modern Times" expansion for Tropico 4, SWAT Team members carry Heckler & Koch MP5 with folding stocks.

Heckler & Koch MP5A3 with "tropical" (wide) forearm and stock extended - 9x19mm

AK Rifles

All soldiers and rebels carry AK type rifles in Tropico 1. In Tropico 3 & 4, only the rebels carry AK rifles.

Type I AK-47, hybrid stamped/milled receiver with prototype slab sided magazine - 7.62x39mm

Tropico 1

One of the palace guards carries an AK during the intro of Tropico 1.
A soldier walks near the palace. Although hard to see because of the low resolution. Looks much better while moving.
El Presidente keeps a personal AK in his office.

Tropico 3 & 4

Rebels charge during a battle in Tropico 4. Note that the male and female models actually have two different AKs: the females have taped their magazines together jungle style.
The statues have M16A2 rifles and AK type rifles. The right statue uses the soldier and the rebel models from the game.

M16A2

Soldiers in Tropico 3 & 4 carry M16A2 rifles. These rifles are anachronistic because the M16A2 was introduced in the 1980s and Tropico starts in 1950.

M16A2 Rifle - 5.56x45mm. Select Fire rifle (Safe/Semi/3 round Burst Only).
The soldiers in Tropico 3 & 4 carry anachronistic M16A2s.
The statues have M16A2 rifles and AK type rifles. The right statue uses the soldier and the rebel models from the game.

KPVT Heavy Machine Gun

The Junta DLC adds military-themed decorations. These include armored fighting vehicles, which appear to be BTR-60s.

KPVT heavy machine gun - 14.5x114mm.
Since they are only decoration, it can be assumed that they are made from papier-mâché.
