Traffic (2000)

The following weapons were used in the film Traffic:

Handguns

Colt Mk IV Series 70

Baja California police officers Javier Rodriguez (Benicio del Toro) and Manolo Sanchez (Jacob Vargas) each carry a Colt Mk IV Series 70 1911. The two cartel men that take Javier and Manolo out into the desert later also carry Series 70s (possibly the policemen's own pistols).

Colt 1911 Series 70 .45 ACP

Javier sticks his Colt Series 70 in a drug runner's face.

Manolo aims his own Series 70 at the drug runner's partner.

A cartel man puts his Series 70 to Javier's head.

After his mock execution, the cartel man drags Javier away.

Heckler & Koch Mark 23

Eduardo Ruiz (Miguel Ferrer) draws a Heckler & Koch Mark 23 and shoots DEA Agent Gordon in the chest. Gordon pulls the slug out of his bulletproof vest once Ruiz leaves the room.

H&K Mark 23 .45 ACP

Ruiz shoots Gordon in the chest.

Ruiz's Mk 23 falls as he tries to escape.

Heckler & Koch USP Compact

Francisco Flores (Clifton Collins, Jr.) uses a Heckler & Koch USP Compact when he goes to shoot Ruiz on the orders of Helena Ayala (Catherine Zeta-Jones).

H&K USP Compact 9x19mm

Flores aims his USP Compact at Ruiz.

Flores is shot by the sniper and fires into the air.

Smith & Wesson Model 66 Snubnose

When Bob Wakefield (Michael Douglas) goes to confront a drug dealer (Vonte Sweet) who his daughter was staying with, the dealer draws a snubnose Smith & Wesson Model 66.

Smith & Wesson Model 66 Snub with 2" barrel & custom grips - .357 Magnum

The drug dealer intimidates Wakefield.

SIG-Sauer P226

One of Ruiz's henchmen, shot by Castro, carries a nickel SIG-Sauer P226. One of the DEA agents also carries a SIG.

The henchman enters Ruiz's office where Castro aims his Glock at him.

Two plainclothes DEA agents, with a SIG and a Glock 19, and a female San Diego detective crouching with a Glock 17.

SIG-Sauer P228

DEA Agent Montel Gordon (Don Cheadle) uses a SIG-Sauer P228 throughout the film.

Gordon enters the children's arcade with his P228 drawn.

Gordon aims his P228 at the ballpit where he suspects Ruiz is hiding.

Glock 17

DEA Agent Ray Castro (Luis Guzmán) carries a Glock 17 as his standard sidearm. Several other DEA agents and San Diego police carry and use them during the shootout outside Ruiz's office. The hitmen sent by Carlos Ayala (Steven Bauer) to assassinate Arnie Metzger (Dennis Quaid) are seen entering his office with a small suppressed pistol that resembles the Glock.

Castro shoots one of Ruiz's henchmen.

A plainclothes officer draws his Glock 17 on another plainclothes as an officer in the foreground fires a Glock 19.

Castro walks through the children's arcade with his Glock 17 drawn, looking for Ruiz.

Several DEA agents and San Diego police officers carry Glock 19 pistols during the siege at Ruiz's office.

DEA agents, armed with Glock 19s, argue with the San Diego PD.

The woman in the blue shirt has a SIG P226 in this picture. However, in the other picture, she has a Glock. What that means is that we've discovered a gun-related continuity error. -MT2008

Heckler & Koch MP5A2

One of the soldiers at Salazar's camp carries a Heckler & Koch MP5A2 over his back.

Manolo talks to the soldiers, one of which carries an MP5A2 over his left shoulder.

Some of Ruiz's drug smugglers use Heckler & Koch MP5A3 submachine guns during the battle with the San Diego PD and the DEA.

Rifles

Remington 700

Tigrillo (Yul Vazquez), the sniper hired by Juan Obregon (Benjamin Bratt) to shoot Francisco Flores uses a suppressed Remington 700 with a scope.

The sniper puts away his rifle.

M16A1 (w/ A2 handguards)

Several of Salazar's soldiers carry M16A1 assault rifles fitted with A2-style handguards. Some DEA agents towards the end of the film can also be seen with these.
