The Young Victoria is a 2009 British historical and romance film starring Emily Blunt and Rupert Friend. The film depicts the events leading up to and during Queen Victoria's coronation celebrations and her early reign and romance with Prince Albert in the 1830s. It was produced by Martin Scorsese, Graham King, Sarah Ferguson, and Tim Headington. When Victoria becomes Queen of England at the age of 18, she assumes responsibility for government amid major political conflicts. The fun-loving young woman must quickly learn to assert herself in her new role. During this time, Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg arrives in London. He is supposed to win the young queen's heart to strengthen his family's influence on the English royal family.

The following weapons were used in the film The Young Victoria:

Brown Bess Musket

British soldiers of the King's/Queen's Guard can be seen with Brown Bess Flintlock Muskets.

A close-up of lined-up soldiers during the intro sequence which offers a view of the flintlocks.
A different view of the lined-up soldiers after the camera is panned out. Since King William (Jim Broadbent) still rules at this time, the term King's Guard is correct.
Soldiers of the Queen's Guard present their musket during a high-ranking visit.
Some soldiers encounter the dissatisfied crowd.
While Queen Victoria (Emily Blunt) and Prince Albert (Rupert Friend) moving out by an open-carriage, the soldiers present their Brown Bess muskets with fixed bayonets.

Flintlock Pistol

A Flintlock Pistol is briefly seen used by an anarchist.
